It's the first full day of summer vacation and I had a list of chores for the kids. Alex is 12 and he mowed the lawn and weed whipped. I was stamping and realized that he was running the trimmer for a REALLY long time so I went to investigate. The knee deep grass at the abandoned neighbors house was too tempting. I had already called the city about it last week to be told the house is in forclosure. (oh joy) The city told me they would take care of the problem. (5 days ago.....) So, I ask Alex what he is doing and I thought he said making popsicles. I did glance at the pattern and just thought I interrupted before his design was done. I was just informed a few minutes ago that they are or were to be is more like it, CROP CIRCLES!!!!!!! Oh brother! Anyway, Alex will now be doing the city a favor and mowing the entire back yard tomorrow and I'll be getting my hearing checked.....
I made this for today's Technique challenge on Splitcoast and for Betsy's Friendship Box challenge at Innovative Stamp Creations. I did use the pattern for the box on the ISC blog which is a little bigger than the one to hold the 3" sq. cards. My finished card is 3 1/2" square. I plan to make 2 more cards using the other 2 sentiments found in the Natures Silhouettes I set. I used Thank You and there is also a happy Birthday and a For You. I kept the note cards quite simple as I wanted them to fit in the box w/ the envelopes. If I can fit more than 3 in, I will make a few more. The rest of the stamps I used are all from a new stamp sheet called Fancy Designs. More later, late for an Eagle Scout dinner now, Yikes!
Beautiful box and card, Shelly! Love the colors :) Good luck with the kids home! LOL :)

Very pretty and anything but simple! I just love these stamps, and what you are able to do with them is pure inspiration. I have my first order in. I hope I can do them justice!
