A Walk in the Woods

It is a beautiful (just perfect actually) weekend in Michigan. The image reminds me of our walks in the woods - while Geocaching quite often.

This gorgeous stamp will be released by Innovative Stamp Creations on Tuesday 9/2 along w/ 3 other stamp sheets. It is so versatile. I posted a card where I stamped and colored with copic markers last week (scroll down to the 2nd card) Today's samples include an Alcohol Ink Polished Stone Background and a monochromatic card. The sentiment is from another sheet that will be released on Tuesday called Maple Tree Paintings.

Treasure Hunt Tuesday & a Color challenge

I used 2 techniques on my card today, Polished Stone and Poppin' Pastels.  Today's color challenge is Olive, Teal & eggplant, nice combination! The Fluer De Lis was stamped in Stazon Jet Black and then I used a scratch tool to reveal the white core for some highlights.  I used Eggplant, Stream & Gold alcohol inks.  The baroque background was stamped in Adirondack snowcap pigment ink and then dusted with eggplant and olive pastels.  The sentiment is also available from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  The velvet ribbon and metal tag are K&Co. and the fibers are Basic Grey.  Have a great Tuesday!

Time Healer

This is for the sketch over at CPS today that is sponsored by Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  I chose to use a couple stamps I recently got and haven't used.  The clock background and time dreamer are new to me.  I used glossy cardstock and Adirondack alcohol inks to create my layers and stamped the images in Stazon Jet Black.  Alcohol ink colors are: Red Pepper, Slate, Espresso, Latte, Butterscotch and Gold. I ended up embossing the sentiment so it showed up better.  The clock faces are by 7gypsies I believe and the ribbon is May Arts.  Isn't the ric rac yummy?  Wish you could see the distressed look of it in person.
