CC189 Midori Thank You

Today's colors on Splitcoast are Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip.  Images are all by

Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  The bamboo background was inked in Kiwi and highlighted with a brown

marker, misted and stamped on Pink Pirouette CS.  I overstamped the background using Versamagic

sahara sand chalk ink with the linen background for some texture and sponged the edges in brown.

The vertical sentiment was stamped on the ribbon with Stazon Timber Brown ink.  Midori was inked

in chocolate ink, masked and stamped in kiwi with the chinese symbols background and then sponged

in pink pirouette ink.  The fasteners are 7gypsies paper fasteners.

SC193 Red Snowflakes

SC193 Red Flakes_SaK

I am rushed this morning to post before my power is shut off for tree removal today.  I really wanted to add some sparkle with embossing or shimmer mists, but I just know if I need to use my heat gun or iron, they will come cut me off.  So, here is my quick Sketch Card.

Images are all available from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  The Snowflake Background 1200 SO, Snowflake Word 154 SO & Snowflake Montage 1548 SO are all in the Stamp Oasis Section.  The Snowflake stamped on the Spellbinders Die is from KK originals 21-13 KK.  CS is Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Close to Cocoa.  Inks are Riding Hood Red & Distress Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain.  There is Perfect Pearls/blush dusted over the snowflakes text but it probably doesn't show up well.  I added Riding Hood Red Taffeta and flocked Brads.  The die cut snowflakes are on foam dimensional tape.

Marimekko Umbrella Inspired

The Inspiration Challenge Splitcoast today is umbrella's by Marimekko.  I chose the pink and black pattern shown here.    It reminded me of the Cuttlebug Leafy Branch folder, so I used a negative embossing technique.  The back or raised portion of the folder was inked with Versafine Onyx Black ink before embossing the white layer. The flower is a Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders called Daisy Heads.  I die cut the flwers, embossed them and then sponged with black ink before removing from the die.  The same technique was used for the sentiment panel that was cut from Classic Rectangles sm. die.

The sentiment and background flourish are from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  The sentiment is KK originals and the stylish flourish from the Jeanne Streiff collection.  The ribbon is May Arts.  I raised the main image panel and layered daisy on foam dimensional tape.

Inspiration by Oprah

attachment

Today's Inspiration Challenge is table settings seen in O Magazine.  I needed to do a super quick card and get out the door to go see my Splitcoast friend Juliana as she is in town for a couple days.  Images available from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.  I used Asian Frame (Rubbernecker Category) and Plum Blossom Branch from the KK originals category.  Inks are Distress Tea Dye, Fired Brick & Faded Denim.  The rest is self explanatory.
