Clear Pledge of Allegiance

LSC175 Pledge_SaK

This is for today's Limited Supply Challenge over at Splitcoast.  We had to use Red White & Blue seeing as it's the 4th of July and limit our layers to 4 or less, same with tools and embellishments.  Well, I think I did this one without screwing up for a change!  My card base is clear acetate.  I cut a navy card 1/4" smaller and tied the striped ribbon around the acetate and it holds the navy card in the middle.  The silhouette is stamped on vellum using black stazon and layered on Real Red CS. Pledge of Allegiance and silhouette stamps are by Stampabilities.  The stars are SU! Classic Backgrounds.  The only inks used were Stazon Black soot and Cotton White.  Happy 4th of July, hope it's a fun day for you and yours!

  1. So perfect for today! I really love the white on the acetate, and those darling kids in the background! Thank you so much for such an awesome sample!

    Have a wonderful day today!

  2. Cool card, Shelly! I love the white on the acetate! Very nice!

  3. What a nice design for a patriotic card! The white on acetate is a great idea for this card and image. I love how you did the ribbon--the perfect patriotic colors with the red & white stripe and the blue organdy.

  4. Awesome card! Love everything about it! TFS!

  5. WHAT a cool card!!
Great layout and bg AND foreground!
I love the way you did the ribbon, BRILLIANT!

  6. What a super idea to stamp the text in Stazon White! Love this look!

  7. Oh, what a beautiful, patriotic card. I LOVE how you used the acetate. So glad I found your blog again. I have you in my Google Reader now so I won't miss a thing!! :) Stop by my blog for a chance to win a gift certificate from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps (drawing will be Monday morning). Kelly
