The ways to use it challenge is Quotes & Such. I was so pleased to be given this set from the wonderful gals at Artistic Artpost recently and couldn't wait to ink it up. Today was the perfect opportunity with the challenge. I so love this quote by Thoreau. "the bluebird carries the sky on his back" I got to use all new or never been used elements on this card. First off, the images are from Artistic Outpost, the textured CS is Core'dinations Black Magic that was embossed with Cuttlebugs Bird Call folder and then sanded. The main image panel is a Spellbinders die called Antique Plate I. It was die cut using Baja Breeze CS and then embossed. Before removing it from the die, I ran a Versamagic chalk ink pad/sahara sand over it to highlight the raised areas. The birds were stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink and the edges were sponged in black as well. The layer is raised on dimensional foam tape and finished with flocked black brads and trim. The birds on the quote layer were a long stamp and I just used a stamp positioner to fill the open areas with sections of the stamp. Have a wonderful Thursday!
