Muse, Discover, Fly!

I made this for today's Ways to use it challenge on Splitcoast. We were to use tags on our projects. Not a big stretch for me because I use them often. The colors however, were a stretch. Gotta think out of the box sometimes. I just chose Tim Holtz Distress inks in colors I imagined a dragonfly would be and then matched the cardstock to my tags. I inked the large dragonfly up with Peeled Paint and used a baby wipe to remove the ink from the wings. The wings were inked in Dried Marigold and rock n rolled in Broken China. The shadow dragonfly's were inked up with Black Soot and stamped off twice before stamping on the tag. Edges, and the allegro embossing were sponged with Dusty Concord. The small tag pulls out of a vellum envelope that was also sponged with concord ink.

  1. Shelly I really like how you did the dragonfly and the shadows.

  2. This is great, Shelly! I love the bright colors and you always work wonders with tags!!!

  3. This is fabulous too, I love how you use the tags and I know you said you don't like the colors, but they look fabulous, so pretty!

Thanks for stopping & telling me what you think!
