My card today uses Green & Burgandy Velveteen papers. It was very hard to capture this in a photo. The back of the velveteen was misted with water. Then, I inked up the baroque background stamp with Encore Gold ink and left the stamp inked side up on the table. Place the velveteen on top of the stamp and iron to transfer the ink and emboss the image into the velvet. I repeated the steps with the burgandy after cutting the layer with Spellbinders curved rectangles set. Placing an iron over the paper/stamp layer does not hurt your rubber at all. It also works great on velvet fabric and can be used for home accents or anything that won't get wet as the embossed image will not remain. Images available from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.

Distressed Script (my personal favorite!)
I am hosting the Rubbernecker Blog challenge today. Be sure to stop by the blog and play along.
My card uses lots of sparkle, glimmer & shine. The snowflake background was inked using Adirondack Paint dabber/pearl on
the white layer and tag. The tag was then sprayed with pearlized distress mists in Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans with
Perfect Pearls/pearl added to the mists. The snowflake was stamped in Faded Jeans and the vertical text in Versafine Onyx Black.
The glittery frame started out by using my new electronic die cutting machine by Making Memories called Slice. (the tag was also
cut using Slice) The frame was inked with VersaMark Dazzle pad/champagne and embossed with holographic embossing powder.
A packing tape window has dazzling diamonds glitter on it. The square snowflake was stamped in Faded Jeans Distress ink on
white CS and mounted on the back. The frame was finished with a snowflake brad and rhinestone. Can't wait to see what you come
up with, play along!
The challenge over at Innovative Stamp Creations is to use crackle paint or cracked glass on your project.
I decided on a simple gift tag using Shabby Shutters crackle paint on DP by The Paper Studio. The image was
stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored with Brilliance Peacock rainbow pad. The edges of the tag
were sponged with Distress Broken china and the bottom was punched with an EK Success corner punch.
I am so delighted in how this turned out because it is for a very special stamping friend Vicky Gould.
Vicky lost her dear Bill suddenly a few weeks ago and she has been in my thoughts and prayers. Today
was no exception and as this card took shape, I knew it was perfect for her. Broni is hosting the Rubbernecker
Blogger Challenge today with an inspiration piece and that is where this card came from. Dee Ott's Summer Fern:
My finished card measures 4 1/8" x 7 3/8" I started with a large shipping tag, Adirondack Paint Dabber/Stream
and some foliage from some Yarrow in my yard. After dabbing paint on the foliage, I placed them paint side down
on the tag and brayered over them to apply the paint to the tag. I removed the foliage and let the paint dry.
Then, pearlized distress mists were sprayed on the tag in various colors in yellow, orange, green, blue & reds. Some
had perfect pearls added to them and gave the tag some shimmer. The tag was ironed to dry it and then it was over stamped with
a Fern Background by Rubbernecker Stamp Co. in Adirondack pigment juniper. The sentiment is also by Rubbernecker in the Stamp
Oasis section called Happy Memories. It was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and the edges of the tag were sponged in Distress
Pine Needles. The card base is Bordering Blue CS that was stamped with the same fern background using the pigment juniper.
I used Rangers applicator tool/blending foam to add some chalk to the image in sage green to make it pop a little. The edges of the card
are sponged in Distress Weathered Wood. The tag was finished with fibers, blue pearl brad and a filigree brad buddy by Making Memories.
Stop on by the Rubbernecker Blog and play along in the challenge!
My Rubbbernecker card was done with the bandana technique. Distress reinkers were spritzed on watercolor paper. When dry, the time background was stamped in Stazon Black and highlighted with an Inkssentials white gel pen. The clock face is by Spare Parts and has an alcohol ink finish. The hands are Spellbinders timeless Heritage die and the acetate overlay is by 7gypsies. The ribbon is May Arts.

Isn't this the cutest Christmas Tree box? Check out the tutorial & template by Brenda found Here.
The designer paper is double sided retired SU! I printed the template right on the DP and then stamped
the holly in Encore Gold and embossed in Gold EP. The star was made by stamping the Star w/ Decorative
swirls on brushed gold CS 3 times and punched with a large star punch. The holly & star images are available
from Rubbernecker Stamp Co. The sentiment is an epoxy sticker by Making Memories and it is layered on
burgandy CS and finished with rhinestone brads. I added 1 brad to the star and felt ric rac was used for the
hanger and trim around the bottom. Tools include ScorPal and Zip Dry glue to attach the trim along the bottom
I will be making more of these fun boxes!
Today's Rubbernecker Blog challenge is brought to us by Bev Gerard. Create a card using 2 or more folds. I chose to make a gate fold card with a twist.
Start with a piece of cardstock cut 5 1/2" x 11", Score at 3 1/4" & 7 1/2". Make a small score mark at the top left at 2 1/4" & the bottom right at 8 1/2".
Turn the cardstock and line up the small score with the bottom left corner and score. Repeat on the right side lining up the bottom score with the top right corner. Cut the angles creating the diagonal edges.
Stamps used are all available from Rubbernecker Stamp Co. in the Rubbernecker Fall category. I used Give Thanks, Acorn Set, Happy Thanksgiving Text & the petite folk art leaf. Inks include: Adirondack pigment Pitch Black, Butterscotch, Terra Cotta & Cranberry. Versamagic Chalk Jumbo Java. Distress Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint.
You might be thinking, "How do I play along?" Easy! All you have to do is use the challenge requirement and upload your project to your blog and/or your online gallery. We love to showcase your projects on this blog, and ask that you please come back to this post, and add a link to your project in the comment section.
