WW #24 An inspiring challenge

This was a fun one, I must say.  On that note, I started out with a different vision altogether.  My memory was going to be of my most treasured trip to Paris.  Somehow I ended up here.  I guess the only explanation is that it is my Mothers birthday today, I wore these colors to work on Tuesday when I made the card and that must have dictated the end result.   So, instead of my original intent, I am sharing a birthday card for my Mom.  I grew up going antiquing, loved anything vintage and still do.  I think most of my inspiration came from that.  The spellbinders curved rectangles dies even look vintage to me.  So, here’s what I used:

Stamps:  Flourish Background 462, Screen Background 452, Girls Sleeping 2010-01 SO, Happy Memories Text 824 SO

Paper:  Prism Simply Smooth Ivory, Island Mist Dark, Island Mist Light

Ink:  Distress Tea Dye, Walnut Stain, Broken China, Brown Marker

Accessories:  Ribbon, Foam Dimensional Tape, Corner embellishment, Spellbinders Curved Rectangle Dies, Heat Gun, Sponges, Mini Misters.

  1. Whoaaaaaa, Shelly!
This is vintage at it's finest! I have to agree with you that this particular Spellbinders die is just right for the vintage appeal ... I hadn't really thought of that before! Your colors are another 'so perfect' choice for the theme and appeal of this beauty!
